Putnam County U.S.S. New York
Memorial Project

Dear Friends,
As you may know, through the coordinated efforts of Senator Vinnie Leibell and County Legislator Richard Othmer, the Hudson Valley Trust has undertaken the commissioning of a six foot replica of the U.S.S. New York. Once completed, this model will be on display at the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services Center. With the anticipated completion date of September 11, 2010 quickly approaching, members of the Stephen P. Driscoll Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #704, Joint Veterans Council of Putnam County, Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services, PutnamHeroesMemorial.org are still selling the commemorative t-shirt and coin. So far, the Hudson Valley Trust has contributed $10,000, and together, we are committed to raising the remaining $3,000 balance of funds. With your assistance, this historic project will become a reality and will be one in which we can all be proud.
